SEC FOOTBALL SCORIGAMI+

Based on the concept by Jon Bois, “Scorigami” is the art of building final scores that have never happened before in a college football team’s history. For more info, check out the original NFL Scorigami page made by Dave Mattingly at NFLSCORIGAMI.COMThe links below will take you to the Scorigami+ page for the listed university. Guide your cursor over a particular score and single click to see the results in the formula field: whether that score has happened, how many times it has happened, and the dates of games involving that team that ended in that score. Double-click in the square and the full results appear on the sheet itself.SEC FOOTBALL SCORIGAMI+ has the added feature of differentiating between wins and losses for each team whose all-time scores are tracked. For example, on the University of Texas Scorigami page, going to Row 3, Column 38 will reveal two games that ended in that score: Texas defeated Texas A&M 38-3 on Nov. 23, 1972 and Notre Dame defeated Texas by the same score on Sep. 5, 2015. (n.b. The point totals in the downward column do not match the Google Sheets row number… there is a difference of two throughout the grid.)If that score has been achieved in victories by or ties involving the featured team, they are posted in that school’s color. A Texas win, for example, is in orange. If the score has only been attained in a loss (or multiple losses) suffered by that team, they are listed in a contrasting color. In the example below, Texas’ losses are in black.

In addition to identifying whether a college football team has had a game end in a listed score, there is the “claim a color” feature. Thus, in addition to “Scorigamis” for scores that are unique, each game offers a team a chance to win a game by a score by which it has previously only lost.Due to space limitations, the grid only goes to a maximum of 82 points. Scores in a team’s history that extend beyond the grid are listed to the right. Finally, the tab at the bottom of the sheet indicates when the page was last updated. Our goal is to have all 134 Football Bowl Subdivision schools’ pages up as soon as we can. If you would like to volunteer to compile the scores for a particular team, please reach out. Other goals include being able to move the content from GoogleDocs/GoogleSheets to its own website. If you have the technical skills to help do that, we’re willing to pay, so please let us know. Finally, thanks to Sports-Reference.com from which some of the data for this site was pulled.
